Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is now open at 67 Rehoboth Ave. Mason’s features simplicity at its core – an homage to the Maine culture and tradition the company loves and respects. No bells, no whistles, no pretension, just fresh lobster prepared with care and simple ingredients, Maine style. Members of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce welcomed Mason’s to the resort area with a ribbon cutting March 29.
Founder and President Dan Beck is a veteran of the restaurant and seafood business, having owned and successfully operated multiple restaurant concepts over his 20-year career. His relationships in the seafood and lobster markets make him uniquely qualified in sourcing the best-quality lobster at attractive prices. Mason’s boasts a very competitive price point for good value that consumers can appreciate, and it has been recognized by Washingtonian Magazine Best Cheap Eats for two consecutive years, in 2015 and 2016. Mason’s preferred lobster sources are certified sustainable. Their featured product, lobster meat, is a healthy, low-cholesterol food, with fewer calories and saturated fat than both chicken and turkey.
Since opening on Main Street in Annapolis, Md., in 2014, Mason’s has enjoyed a happy stream of regular customers, and the management hopes to have new converts rolling into the Rehoboth location daily. The Rehoboth store will be operated by Yuriy Fedoriv, director of operations, along with his wife Jasmine. They will also feature a whole belly clam roll and beach fries. Toward the end of summer, Mason’s hopes to acquire a liquor license to offer wine and beer with the seafood.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and will extend its hours, operating from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. once the summer season is in full swing. They are accepting applications for cashiers and food service. For more information call 302-727-0411 or go to masonslobster.com.
